Application: 2011 Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Awards

Anyone wishing to apply for, or nominate a program, project, product, plan or partnership for a 2011 Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award must complete the online application and email two letters of recommendation.

2011 Application Requirements:

• Application Deadline is Friday, July 1, 2011, 5:00 p.m.
• Application Deadline for the Environmental Justice and Green Chemistry categories has been extended to Friday, August 12, 2011, 5:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer accepting applications submitted under the remaining categories.
  

Step 1

Please plan ahead and have all the information at your fingertips in order to copy and paste text into the online application. This form is a one-time submittal and will not save text or allow you to revise at a future date. If applicable, please reference website and online links that support your application narrative.

Step 2

Email two letters of recommendation as an attachment, in PDF format to GEELA@calepa.ca.gov no later than Friday, July 1, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. for the program, project, product, plan or partnership being nominated. References must be current, knowledgeable and familiar with the nomination. External endorsements must be specific to the 2011 Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award and include contact information.

The deadline for the letters of recommendation in support of applications applying under the Environmental Justice or Green Chemistry category has been extended to Friday, August 12, 2011, 5:00 p.m.

Step 3

You have the option to email any pertinent supporting materials to GEELA@calepa.ca.gov. Materials may include information such as, but not limited to, fact sheets, brochures, product sheets, press releases, articles, photos/images, etc. Each file name should include applicant and project title. File volume should not exceed 40 MB total per email, or the email will not be received.

Deadline for all applications (aside from those applying under the Environmental Justice or Green Chemistry category) was Friday, July 1, 2011, 5:00 p.m.

Application deadline for those applying under the Environmental Justice or Green Chemistry category was August 12, 2011, 5:00 p.m.

Winners will be notified by late October 2011.

Please submit letters of recommendation and any supplemental information to accompany your application to GEELA@calepa.ca.gov. Files should be less than 40 MB or the email will not be received.
