The 15th Annual Cal/EPA Environmental Cross Media Enforcement Symposium will be held May 27-May 30, 2008 in Long Beach, CA. For more information, see http://www.arb.ca.gov/training/enfsym.htm
Cal/EPA is offering a limited number of scholarships to this Symposium. Funding for the scholarships is made possible by funds from the settlement of enforcement cases that were designated for enforcement training. There are “registration only scholarships” which cover the registration fee for the Symposium and “full scholarships” which include registration fee, travel, hotel and per diem costs as allowed under state travel policies.
The scholarships are available to state, local and tribal environmental enforcement staff ONLY.
To apply for a scholarship, please email the following information to Diane Trujillo-Carrillo at dtrujill@calepa.ca.gov no later than Friday, March 28, 2008.

Scholarship award notifications will be sent out by email. Please be informed that scholarships provide for reimbursement of expenses and reimbursements average 8 weeks after the training event. Be advised that the last four digits of your social security number are required for reimbursement. If you are unwilling to provide that information, or to wait 8 weeks for reimbursement, please do not apply. Please get your supervisor’s approval before applying and check your schedule to make sure you can attend the entire Symposium. You must attend the entire Symposium, and take an exam on the last day in order to have your expenses reimbursed.
