Cal/EPA Releases Information Packet on Underground Storage Tank Compliance Deadline
SACRAMENTO Stressing Californias protection of the environment, while recognizing the financial commitment made by gas station operators large and small statewide, Peter M. Rooney, Secretary for Environmental Protection today released an information packet about the California Underground Storage Tank (UST) Replacement Program deadline of December 22, 1998.

State Office of Emergency Services (OES) staff is contacting local OES offices to identify local fuel supply emergencies. The California Energy Commission will work with OES to evaluate any local fuel supply emergency. Persons wishing to report fuel supply emergencies should first contact their local OES office (number listed in the front of their local phone book) or the Energy Commission at (916) 654-4838.
